Goodbye 2017, hello 2018. Another year and a lot of shows under the belt. Not as many as last year, but hey it happens. First I want to say you should look into joining a bunch of great people in the Live Music Challenge. I did it last year with the wife and together we donated and raised more than $1200 to the four different charities. Overall 31 people donated more than $11,000 to a number of charities. Music is, in my opinion, the best thing in the world to put a smile on your face. If you can take that energy and put in back in to the world, I say go for it. So check it out and help.
I have a few goals this year including touring with bands, being published in certain places, not comparing myself to what others are doing since we all take our own paths, working on my portrait taking, and working certain festivals. We'll see how it all shapes up.
I ended this year the same way I have since 2012, with Phish. They put on one of the best spectacles every year for New Year's Eve. Where else for less than $100 a ticket can you get three sets of music and special gag to bring in the new year. This year they turned the stage in to a big boat and lit the room up with special bracelets that everyone was given at their seats. Enjoy some photos from the run of shows, including some cell phone shots from the third night since my camera was denied entry, and I hope to be writing many more of these this year.
